This also happens with the AMD64bit version of Ubuntu Lucid. My current gwibber
version is 2.30.0.1
from system monitor:
Release: 10.04
Kernel: 2.6.32-22-generic
Gnome: 2.30.0
Mem:3.7GiB
Processor: AMD Turion(tm) 64X2 Mobile Technology TL-52

I only added a facebook broadcast account. Not a twitter one, and it
still restricts my messages to 140 characters which is the limit for
twitter messages.

The service is a novel idea when integrated into the OS via the gnome
panel. It is awesome to have, just needs that little tweak to stop it
from being useless... facebook can hold more than 140, and if gwibber
holds me back i wont use it. To be useful, it needs to be true to the
service capacities.
