Chris, appreciate your comment. As I said in my posting, I was not sure
what exact package might be causing the problem...I have been posting
that question at launchpad and ubuntuforums with no answer.....
To answer your question, no the disk is not attached to the USB. And in
retrospect if I attach USB disk I am not getting any message when I
unmount the USB disk. Again, I did not have this problem in 9.10 Karmic.
