Ubuntu better. This particular bug has already been reported and is a
duplicate of bug 458393, so it is being marked as such. Please look at
the other bug report to see if there is any missing information that you
can provide, or to see if there is a workaround for the bug.
Additionally, any further discussion regarding the bug should occur in
the other report. Please continue to report any other bugs you may find.
The current workaround for this issue is to right-click the Ubuntu One
applet -> Select "preferences" -> set "connect on start" to "never".
Note that you will need to manually connect in order to be able to sync
your files after doing this. This can be done by left-clicking the
Ubuntu One applet & selecting "connect".
There is a newer client available for Karmic in the Beta PPA that you
can try if you continue to have problems and do not want to upgrade to
10.04. Please be aware this updated version does not have an applet. It
has been replaced by an Ubuntu One Preferences window. This is found in
the "Me Menu" in Lucid & through System --> Preferences --> Ubuntu One
for Karmic. The command to install the Beta/PPA is:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuone/beta && sudo apt-get update &&
sudo apt-get upgrade
