Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox
The version of Firefox installed with Lucid reports its version number to websites as 3.0.6 instead of 3.6.3. This can be seen when checking Help -> About Mozilla Firefox (beneath the copyright information), http://whatsmyuseragent.com/, and https://addons.mozilla.org/ This is a problem because many add-ons (for example, this one: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/14228/ ) cannot be installed on Firefox 3.0.6, even though the installed version in Lucid is 3.6.3. The "Add to Firefox" button is disabled with a note beneath it saying "Not available for Firefox 3.0.6."
