Re-tested here with Lucid (i386) on an MSI Wind NetTop DE200 (Intel Atom + HD4330) and it still fails with the BIOS signature error. RadeonHD also fails to load on this machine (need it or fglrx for HDMI) but the xorg Radeon default driver has always worked fine.
