@Kamus, my system is just updated (see supporting below) at today May
12th, and starting up Gwibber, I see no repeat of the original bug.

>From within Gwibber I was able to view the full tweet and it opened in
an external browser just fine.

No crashes experienced during my session.

No problems for me in opening 'About Gwibber' dialog and closing it
again.
