ath5k developers upstream know about the issue. Actually today I got a "new" AAO which should have the same wireless card (didn't open it to check yet) and it does not have the same trouble. It only has 1GB RAM though. The machine I have which has the problem has 1.5GB RAM. Wonder if there is some extra factor that is needed to trigger it...
