When powering up on battery power I always have black screen after the
splash screen with no functionality or text of any kind. When powering
up with power cord plugged in, the system always starts as it should.
The problem could be related to Bug #480707 or Bug #377773. However, the
latter one was fixed in 9.04.
The system was upgraded from Ubuntu 9.10 where booting worked fine.
