Looks like I've got the same issue. Just upgraded from karmic to lucid and compositing has stopped working. If i run up fusion-icon i just get a black screen. I followed your advise above and the xorg log seems to show the glx module being loaded, but still no compositing
I've used grep to filter lines with nvidia from my xorg log in the attached txt file, hopefully that'll help some more interesting stuff: a...@b:~$ glxinfo name of display: :0.0 Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig a...@b:~$ glxgears Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual ** Attachment added: "filtered xorg log.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/48027837/filtered%20xorg%20log.txt -- Lucid: GLX not working on Nvidia driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/573601 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
