For me, this problem was not fixed after the update from lucid-proposed. See my comment https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/39321/comments/16 and the pdf file http://launchpadlibrarian.net/47987918/example-russian-pdf.pdf.
