Hello, Thanks to all who have contributed to this discussion - it helped me solve my wireless connection problem on my Asus Eee PC 1000 very quickly. I can confirm that I had the connection problem reported above for WPA / WPA2 security on an Ubuntu 10.04 netbook with a 2.6.32 kernel. Following the advice of Marco Pregnolato in posting 173, (i.e. installing the 2.6.33 kernel) solved the problem.
