@ff670099 See Daniel T Chen's comment#97 Here is the link to the ppa with instructions how to add it: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-audio-dev/+archive/ppa Once you add the ppa install linux-alsa-driver-modules-$(uname -r) package, e.g. linux-alsa-driver-modules-2.6.32-22-generic and reboot. Sound should be working after that.
This workaround works fine and we'll have to use it since the update of http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/alsa-base to version 1.0.23 (which has the fix) may take a while.
