Jeremy, this problem is only present on jaunty kernel, with lucid everything works up to 1000Mbit. But i have a lot of computers running jaunty here and i can't make a migration to lucid now.
So i'm going to use my custom-kernel but i don't like this idea due to security updates. Here is a patch (from e1000 version 1.0.15 sources) you can apply to last jaunty security kernel source. ** Patch added: "diff from official ubuntu 2.6.28 kernel (latest security update) and mine with 1.0.15 driver from e1000 to have full gigabit support" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/47922543/patch-kernel-2.6.28-jaunty-for-e1000e-full-speed.patch -- e1000e-next 10MBit/s only (Intel 82578DM) on jaunty 2.6.28-18 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/575912 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
