Thanks for your reply Ed! In the software sources , I checked the proposed updates and did a "sudo apt upgrade" thing.It showed almost all the above packages that you have listed above to be upgraded.. However I did not do any of those upgrades. I thought I should better wait for them to enter recommended updates or the important security updates.Hope I am on the right path. I have unchecked proposed updates as of now. Regards
