I'm also affected by this bug.
Though as mentioned in Pedro Villavicencio 's post, it also seems to me like a 
video issue.

Nautilus slowness is the most noticeable aspect of this bug, but it also 
affects others applications when displaying menus, resizing windows or opening 
files. Nothing is responsive, files and folders take ages to display, every 
action has a delay. 
On the other hand, 3d performance seems to be unaffected, blender runs smoothly 
for instance. 

I'm running a fresh installation of lucid, updated daily, on a laptop with 
nvidia proprietary drivers enabled (195.36.24).
My video card is a GeForce GT 130M.
Same result with visual effects turned on and off.

Should I open another bug report ?
Also please tell me if I need to provide any other information for this report.
On a last note, I'd like to mention that I'm running lucid lynx on another 
laptop without problem, with a ATI card.
