Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
When booting the machine, the screen will, when the login prompt should appear, go black. If I switch to a virtual console and back, it "works", but it's so slow it's bordering to useless. I've had problems of various kinds with X with all previous versions of ubuntu I've tried on this machine, but with a hand edited xorg.conf, I've allways been able to make it work. Now, however, the hand edited xorg.conf file doesn't seem to have any effect.
