Ivica,
thank you for your suggestion, I hope I could fix the problem with it.
But there are still some obstacles for me:

1 - I want to run Live CD in order to install it: ok for external monitor,
but I don't know how to modify the kernel (is it possible running a live
cd?). Should I better use the alternate cd (or the server one), try to
install the system, then apply the changes you suggest?

2 - I am not a linux expert (even though I use linux since some years), and
I don't know how and where to modify the kernel line as you mentioned...I
would be grateful to you If you coukld give me some instruictions.

Another, maybe trivial, question: with your workaraound all the problems
described in this discussion will disappear or not?
Thank you very much,
all the best
Guido
