Ivica, thank you for your suggestion, I hope I could fix the problem with it. But there are still some obstacles for me:
1 - I want to run Live CD in order to install it: ok for external monitor, but I don't know how to modify the kernel (is it possible running a live cd?). Should I better use the alternate cd (or the server one), try to install the system, then apply the changes you suggest? 2 - I am not a linux expert (even though I use linux since some years), and I don't know how and where to modify the kernel line as you mentioned...I would be grateful to you If you coukld give me some instruictions. Another, maybe trivial, question: with your workaraound all the problems described in this discussion will disappear or not?
