I also have the Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8187 Wireless Adapter and
it doesn't works after update to Lucid.

It works in Karmic and in Lucid, using the 2.6.31-21 kernel.

With the 2.6.32-22 and the 2.6.33-02063303 kernel versions it fails and
looking to the syslog, it seems to be switched off:

My laptop doesn't have a physical switch to control the wireless device.
