I can confirm this behaviour - in my case, this is a mono application talking via an USB to serial adapter which identifies as FTDI USB Serial Device / FT232RL. Input/output cannot really be assessed (complex serial protocol which obviously fails.) Please let me know in case you need /any/ output from my system. I am rather new to kernel related stuff.
