Public bug reported: I've checked alsamixer - should be ok.
I've tried the backport for alsa - no luck. There is 'Internal Audio Analog Stereo' device present in sound preferences... I can hear an echo from the mic feeding back into my laptop speakers, so I'm sure it's not a hardware problem.
