I have noticed this whenever I try to watch a movie (VLC, MPlayer, Xine, etc.) it used to affect every time I listened to an MP3, but now it just freezes the program that I am listening to it in, so I just have to re- open that program. I notice it in VLC, RhythmBox, Last-Exit, etc.)
Finally, I am not sure if this is the same issue, but when I try to watch a commercial DVD in any program, it tends to crash the program right before the menu. If I say it is a DVD without menus, it crashes immediately.
