Hi Jeremy, I've just tried the live CD of 10.04. Exactly the same as 9.10 - wireless network seen but will not connect [as I suggested previously, kernel driver suspected].
If the difference / change between 9.04 & 9.10 could be found the problem would be resolved instantly, I will try an install tomorrow to test the work-around I used in 9.10... Step1: add "blacklist rt2800usb" to: /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf Step2: add "rt2870sta" to: /etc/modules Step3: Reboot. Step 4: Connxn works 'perfectly' [but slow]. -- Regards, ["SuperEngineer"] -- USB wireless adaptor (AW-NU221) recognises connection but will not connect in 9.10 - all ok in 9.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/492990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
