It would be quite difficult to add kernel log and additional info if the Ubuntu default kernel does not boot on my machine _at all_ :) If I boot ti-omap flavour of the Ubuntu kernel following the ARM/BeagleNetbookInstall (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM/BeagleNetbookInstall) all I get is:
Uncompressing Linux ..................................................... done, booting the kernel.
