Jeremy, are you sure that's "fixed" ? Both the bug title and karmic kernel are 2.6.31, the "problem is gone" was after upgrading the full distribution, including a new kernel 2.6.32 version.
People who continue to use karmic are left in the cold, especially if security fixes roll in.
