I had the same issue with a live CD boot of Lucid-RC (kubuntu/x86) on a ThinkPad T30 (type 2366-JBU). With network-manager running, the ESSID is garbled. When I use "service stop network-manager" and then manually configure the ESSID, it shows up properly.
The card is an IBM branded Prism 2.5 MiniPCI (OE with this model) and the firmware revs are 1.1.0 for the primary and 1.8.2 for the secondary. I'm going to download the released version and retry. -- network manager does not show available networks in Lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/570998 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
