I was able to re-create this on an HP mini 5101. But this looks like a valid bug in gome power manager. Kernel seems to suspend/resume ok.
#sudo su #echo '+180' > /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealrarm #pm-suspend This should cause your laptop to suspend for 3minutes and then resume automatically. rules out a kernel issue. Closing the laptop lid however does not suspend the laptop.
