I'm affected by the exact same problem, although I'm running 10.04 final now and have a Samsung ML-2010, it's been going on for the past six months, where I ran 9.10 and several alpha's and beta's of 10.04. Indeed reinstalling the printer clears the queue and makes it possible to print again, but do not print the error causing document, because printing will hang.
