This is not a bug, so there is nothing to fix. the Del key sends your files in the trash, they are not gone. the command $ rm does remove the files from your system, so you rather use it with the switch (-i or -I). Now, if you don't know what you are deleting or how, you'd better be off using an OS for average cretins like Windoze or OSX.
