Public bug reported: This looks somewhat similar to Bug #445852 but in my case this is SONY DVD RW DRU-190A, 1.65, max UDMA/66
I started see the problems immediately after upgrading from Karmic->Lucid RC and still see the problem today after apt-get update ;apt-get upgrade My PC has mostly SATA devices: 2 HDDs and one BD-burner. There is ATAPI DVD RW as well and all the problems are for this device only. The same device worked fine on Karmic and works fine under Windows. I see the problem while trying to burn DVDs (tried several times and every time after completing 30-70% the device is stuck).
