Public bug reported: There isn't any driver support for the Epson Perfection 2580 Photo even though it's been around for a few years now. Since this is the package used by a few of the Scan applications including simple-scan, the default install in 10.04, I figured this was the one to report it to.
I followed the steps in #10 at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1091386 for xSane, but this doesn't work for Simple-Scan. Since that was simple enough of a process, I figure it wouldn't be too complicated for it to be added to the package.
