I am using Lucid and I have Dell M1530. When volume of microphone is set to 100% it is almost inaudible. gnome-volume-control let me rise the volume up to 150% which is still not enough. With paman (PulseAudio Manager) I can rise it up to 480%. 200% is fine.
Workaround: 1. sudo apt-get install paman 2. paman 3. Go to devices 4. Double click alsa_input.pci-0000_00_1b.0.analog-stereo 5. Set the volume to ~200% 6. Click Close -- internal mic capture very low volume when routed through pulseaudio https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275998 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
