Public bug reported: Binary package hint: dspam
ubuntu-10.04-rc-server-i386 dspam 3.6.8-9ubu 1. In /etc/dspam/dspam.conf: "ServerPort 24" 2. /etc/init.d/dspam start -> no error-message, exit code 0, but daemon not running 3. /var/log/mail.err shows: "Could not bind to :24: Permission denied" Summary: If you start dspam as daemon with a privileged port, the daemon does not start up, but does return the exit code 0. Please check dspam-Bugtracker ID: 2947397 (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2947397&group_id=250683&atid=1126467). The bug is fixed, but obviously the used dspam-version in 10.04-rc is "too old". Non-privileged ports do not cause problems, but default-port seems to be 24. Regards, Thomas ** Affects: dspam (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- dspam (daemon) exits with 0 - even when not able to bind to configured port https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/570951 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
