I wasn't able (or capable) to access the syslog log, because i couldn't log in, so I'm not able to say what exactly went wrong. One change which maybe could have something to do with it was, that I manually changed the keyboard layout for the greek keyboard layout in the "/usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols" file. Maybe that have something to do with it. The only other change was that I installed Dropbox and Gnome Do.
