Sorry you weren't able to reply, Daniel. I also performed the PulseAudio log procedure you suggested (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio/Log) with respect to a similar bug in Karmic. I managed to crash Amarok, but the real problem is with Pulse and Alsa HDMI-related sound drivers. Here's the pulseverbose log you suggested in that 6 month old posting.
