** Description changed: I have this audio controller (on Acer Aspire 5100): 00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc IXP SB4x0 High Definition Audio Controller (rev 01) The output sound works fine but the microphone doesn't. I have upgraded the 9.04 (64bit) to 9.10 (64bit): in both cases it fails. I tested it with skype (test call fails) and with gnome-sound-record (nothing recorded).
