Andrew, you need to make the partition you've allocated to / a bit bigger. There are other bugs about this not being reported very well. In future, I'd much rather you filed a new bug rather than appending information to an existing bug - particularly with Dapper, it's not easy for users to tell radically different installer bugs apart.
jscheiderer, your problem has got nothing to do with this installer, which installs the entire system from a live CD. You're talking about installing individual packages, which is COMPLETELY different.
