Oh, I deal with bug reports daily, as I am a professional developer, and I can assure you, given common familiarity with the application, my description would've been quite enough.
However, let me make things clearer; 1) Open the Gnome Terminal; the default terminal emulation application in Ubuntu. 2) Type "echo http://bugs.launchpad.net". Hit "enter". 3) Right-click on the link, select "open link". See how that works? OK, now try this; 1) Once on the Gnome Terminal, type "echo sftp://some.server.with/files/in/it" 2) Place the pointer on top of the address - notice how the link's protocol is not entirely underlined; the terminal mistakes an SFTP link for an FTP one. Please let me know if this is still not clear enough. ** Changed in: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- sftp link support is missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/568749 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
