Hi Jason. Unfortunately I have seen nothing in the log files to show that there is an error with ubuntuone-client. Can you please check to see if your test files have now been synced? It may take a while for these file to sync. There is an existing bug report regarding how long it takes the syncdaemon to query the server - bug 531273. You may be experiencing this issue.
Please advise if your files have now been synced. If they have not been synced, please zip your $HOME/.cache/ubuntuone/log/ folder & attach it to this bug report for further debugging as this will contain recent log files.
