I tried an earlier kernel (2.6.32-16) which I am sure used to work, but there is no change. It seems the issue lies within the driver. I tried downgrading but there seem to be some issues. I can see the old deb files using a locate, but apt-cache does not indicate their presence, hence I cannot do an automatic downgrade. Here is a relevant log:

Could you suggest some route for safe downgrading? I could try using dpkg -i directly from the cache but chasing dependencies could be a significant issue. -- Xserver does not start due to drm problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/565643 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
