Howdy Master..... supplied info is good.....
I recommend you try installing the bcmwl-kernel-source package and/or activating the b43/STA driver for your bcm4312 wireless adapter. The drivers/firmware for these cards are part of the restricted component of Ubuntu's software. They will not be included directly in the Operating System as a result. They should be identified and the user prompted appropriately, however this is not always the case. The b43-fwcutter package can download the required firmware for the b43 kernel driver OR The bcmwl-kernel-source package will enable the wl drivers for bcm4311 4312 4321 4322. All that is required to install both of these package is included on the install CD or from the online repos. Installation without a restart under a Live environment is possible. Usual allowing several seconds for your card to scan for available networks after activating the drivers (System / Administration / Hardware drivers) is enough. If not, modules/drivers can be loaded/unloaded/reloaded using the modprobe command instead of a computer restart. The following will enable wireless for your card in lucid under live environment: Install bcmwl-kernel-source Activate b43/STA driver (System / Administration / Hardware drivers) instead of restart: sudo modprobe -r ssb b43 wl sudo modprobe wl https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx -- Wireless driver failure. b43 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/559513 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
