I can confirm this with eclipse 3.5.2-2ubuntu3
and SUNs JRE plus the OpenJDK. The problem is a mozilla library, therefore eclipse can be started by commenting out export MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME="/usr/lib/xulrunner-$(/usr/bin/xulrunner-1.9.2 --gre-version)" in /usr/bin/eclipse Not a nice solution, but a working one until the mozilla package is fixed.
