Can confirm that patch-4 ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /xserver-xorg-video-mga/+bug/292214/comments/71 ) works on Matrox G550. Just remember to also grab patch-3 ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video- mga/+bug/292214/comments/28 ) and apply the mga.h parts of that diff. Also needed this xorg.conf ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /xserver-xorg-video-mga/+bug/292214/comments/55 )
