Why not just choose one of the following two solutions: 1) Add a radio button in gnome-appearance-properties (ad said by scholli) with the following options: Window button placement: - use theme default - always on the left - always on the right
I one of the latter two options is chosen then the theme default will be overridden by the user's choice. 2) Ship two other themes, ambiance-right and radiance-right whose only difference is the button placement. Only a single text file (index.theme) needs to be added. That will keep everybody happy. (I know it is possible to customize a theme but that solution might not be obvious to new users, as simply choosing a theme). -- [Master] Window Control buttons: position/order/alignment https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/532633 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
