For some other hardware it still doesn't work. Same problem/configuration/install different wifi-adaptor:
Intersil/Prism ISL3890 wireless-PCI Used to work out of the box (prism53) but not anymore (p54pci) During boot, the p54pci driver whines about missing firmware.
