As a part of my job involves heavy backend development on web systems, which are usually accessible via FTP, this would be a feature I would really like to see enter Nautilus.
I would be willing to look into writing a patch for this, but need to know more information on where this problem lies. Is anyone aware of whether this is a nautilus bug or an issue with lack of support in gvfsd-ftp? If this is merely a lack of Nautilus support it is likely to be significantly easier to implement than writing full support for this feature into gvfs as well.
