A status update: A debian package request was filed here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=559563 But nobody stepped up to package the emulator.
Nestopia seems even to be abandoned by Martin Freij. Its last revision was released in 2007. Currently our best bet is to wait for new revisions of FCEUX ("Family Computer Emulator Ultra Extended") which undergoes rapid development at the moment. FCEUX gets packaged regularily in Debian and thus is getting synced to Ubuntu. The current release 2.1.3 even features a GTK GUI and working netplay but it isn't synced to Ubuntu yet (it is still 2.1.3). Even NTSC filters are on their TODO list as developer "adelikat" seems to tackle this task: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2808773&group_id=13536&atid=113536 ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #559563 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=559563 ** Bug watch added: SourceForge.net Tracker #2808773 http://sourceforge.net/support/tracker.php?aid=2808773 -- [needs-packaging] Please package Nestopia https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/178034 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
