Public bug reported: Binary package hint: vinagre
In my network our M$ servers have ultravnc server with ms-logon authentication, so a valid active directory username/password is needed. Connection with another ultravnc client it works (also ultravnc in wine is OK). But the native ubuntu client (vinagre) does not work. I am using also the very last version (in lucid, but the same in karmic) and when i try to connect, it prompts me the username-password, i write the username/password, then it hangs, but after about 1 minute it gives me an error "connection is closed, connection with host 10.0.0.5 lost"... viangre version 2.30.0 Executing vinagre --gtk-vnc-debug : WARNING: Unhandled message: interface=org.freedesktop.DBus.Introspectable, path=/, member=Introspect gtk-vnc: Expose 0x0 @ 944,702 gtk-vnc: Started background coroutine gtk-vnc: Resolving host 10.0.0.5 5900 gtk-vnc: Trying socket 18 gtk-vnc: Protocol initialization gtk-vnc: Server version: 3.4 gtk-vnc: Using version: 3.3 gtk-vnc: Possible auth 4294967290 gtk-vnc: Thinking about auth type 4294967290 gtk-vnc: Decided on auth type 4294967290 gtk-vnc: Waiting for auth type gtk-vnc: Choose auth 4294967290 gtk-vnc: Do Challenge gtk-vnc: Requesting missing credentials gtk-vnc: Set username credential username gtk-vnc: Set password credential password gtk-vnc: Waiting for missing credentials gtk-vnc: Got all credentials gtk-vnc: Checking auth result gtk-vnc: Closing the connection: gvnc_read() - ret=0 gtk-vnc: Success gtk-vnc: Doing final VNC cleanup gtk-vnc: Expose 0x0 @ 944,702 gtk-vnc: Requesting that VNC close gtk-vnc: Requesting that VNC close gtk-vnc: Releasing VNC widget No problems with the ultravnc viewer with wine.
