Of course this is not the idea, but just a workaround. NetworkManager should 
not be disabled, at most it should not be used at all by switching the Network 
Management Backend. (see System Settings -> Advanced -> Hardware -> Network 
Management Backend.

I found this to happen every time a resume from suspend (to ram or disk) 
crashes.
