Hi,

I update my karmic to latest Lucid (via update-manager -d).
Same story.

(1) If I boot from "cold state" - my network card doesn't work (log files:
dmesg-2.6.32.20-doesnt-work.log, lspci_vvnn-2.6.32.20-doesnt-work.log,
uname_a-2.6.32.20-doesnt-work.log).
(2) If I boot Windows, reboot, and boot Lucid - network card works (log files:
dmesg-2.6.32.20-work.log, lspci_vvnn-2.6.32.20-work.log,
uname_a-2.6.32.20-work.log).

I update kernel
(http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/daily/2010-04-09-lucid/) - same
stroy.
(3) If I boot from "cold state" - my network card doesn't work (log files:
dmesg-2.6.34.999-doesnt-work.log, lspci_vvnn-2.6.34.999-doesnt-work.log,
uname_a-2.6.34.999-doesnt-work.log).
(4) If I boot Windows, reboot, and boot Lucid - network card works (log files:
dmesg-2.6.34.999-work.log, lspci_vvnn-2.6.34.999-work.log,
uname_a-2.6.34.999-work.log).

Logs in attachments.

** Attachment added: "dmesg, lspci -vvnn, uname -a in 4 situations (kernel
2.6.32.20 - doesn't work, kernel 2.6.32.20 - work, kernel 2.6.34.999 - doesn't
work, kernel 2.6.34.999 - work)"

** Description changed:

  Hi.

If I boot Ubuntu Karmic (latest development branch, updated from 9.04 via
"update-manager -d") from "cold state" - my integrated network adapter
(RTL8169sb/8110sb) does not work.
If I reboot, and boot Karmic again - it doesn't work again.
If I boot Windows XP, reboot, and boot Karmic - it works fine.

  I tried:
  1) "sudo rmmod r8169" and "sudo modprobe r8169" - this does not help;
  2) "sudo service udev restart" - this doestn't help too.
  3) load kernel with "acpi=off noacpi" - this doesn't help.
