Identical problem for me, The line in xorg.conf after install of nvidia-glx
BusID "PCI:0:5:0" And it should have been BusID "PCI:1:0:0" i386, Ubuntu 6.1, nvidia-glx version:- 10.8776+2.6.17.7-11.2 output from lspci confirms the bus id, so I unsure where 0:5:0 came from.
